The dental implants fundamentals course introduces you to the world of dental implant training with an experienced clinician supported by a highly experienced dental team, who will combine theory with hands-on exercises to guide you through the different steps of the implant treatment workflow and help you to become more involved in placing or restoring dental implants. Additionally the course will cover aspects of guided bone regeneration and digital workflow. This course focuses on teaching the Implantology fundamentals.
This is a comprehensive introduction to Surgical and Restorative dentistry. Each delegate is given the opportunity to place 3 implants in a patient that is provided by the course, to experience placement in straightforward indications including single tooth and edentulous arch. The restorative module also includes treating patients and you will experience impression taking and the fitting of the implant structure.
Module 1 (9, 10th September 2022)
Venue: Delta Dental Academy, BS1 2AZ
Breakdown: theory – day 1; practical – day 2
The first day of Module 1 includes an introduction to the course, clinic and the theory behind dental implants. On day two we will go through the dental implant placement procedure which will allow you to place a single implant in a live patient.
Module 2 (21, 22nd October 2022)
Venue: Delta Dental Academy, BS1 2AZ
Breakdown: theory and hands on – day 1, practical- day 2
The first day: introduction to guided bone regeneration theory and hands on.
On day two the dental implant placement procedure on a two to three tooth space. You will place the implant(s) required on a live patient.
Module 3 (25, 26th November 2022)
Venue: Delta Dental Academy, BS1 2AZ
Breakdown: 2 days practical/clinical
Implant placements on live patients.
Module 4 (17, 18th February 2023)
Venue: Delta Dental Academy, BS1 2AZ
Breakdown: theory -1 day, clinical – day 2
The first day: case presentation by students and discussion about their treatment planning and case selection. On second day students will do a follow up on the patients from previous modules which required a bone graft.
Module 5 (3rd, 4th March 2023)

Breakdown: Theory and hands on – day 1, practical – day 2
Module 5 will cover the theory behind the restoration of dental implants including digital approach. This will include impression taking traditionally and also digital impressions in preparation for making crowns.
Module 6 (17, 18th March 2023)

Breakdown: 2 days practical
Fitting the crowns, discussion about treatment complications.

Dipesh is a clinician with practice limited to implant dentistry. His training pathway has been comprehensive, culminating in a Masters in Implantology in 2018. He is an Honorary Lecturer at
Graduated from the University of Bristol in 1999. Following this he trained as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal United Hospital in bath for
Ceri graduated from Bristol in 2007, and since qualification has worked across the south west with positions in Bristol, Cardiff and Stroud. He has a particular interest in restorative dentistry
Born in Italy, Dr Alfonso Rao graduated from the University of Chieti with distinction. He has spent three years at the Eastman Dental Institute of London, where he completed a
