The Dental Implants Fundamentals Course introduces you to the world Dental Implant Training with an experienced clinician who will combine theory with hands-on exercises to guide you through the different steps of the implant treatment workflow and help you to become more involved in placing or restoring dental implants. This course focuses on teaching the Implantology fundamentals.

This is a comprehensive introduction to Surgical and Restorative dentistry. Each delegate is given the opportunity to place 3 implants in a patient that is provided by the course, to experience placement in Straightforward indications including single tooth and edentulous arch. The restorative module also includes treating patients and you will experience impression taking and the fitting of the implant structure.

Course program

Module 1

Venue: Queen Square Dental Clinic, BS1 4NH
Breakdown: 2 days theory, 1 day practical
The first two days of Module 1 include an introduction to the course, clinic and the theory behind dental implants. On day three we will go through the dental implant placement procedure which will allow you to place a single implant in a live patient.

Module 2

Venue: Delta Dental Academy, BS1 2AZ
Breakdown: 2 days practical
Module 2 covers the dental implant placement procedure on a two to three tooth space. You will place the implant(s) required on a live patient.

Module 3

Venue: Queen Square Dental Clinic, BS1 4NH
Breakdown: 1 day theory, 1 day practical
The third module covers the theory behind the restoration of dental implants. This will include impression taking in preparation for making crowns from Modules 1 and 2.

Module 4

Venue: Delta Dental Academy, BS1 2AZ
Breakdown: 2 days practical
Module 4 will involve fitting the crowns from Modules 1 and 2, you will also fit a overdenture

Module 5

Venue: University of Genova
For the final module we are going to Italy.
