Endodontic Surgical Training with Arnaldo Castellucci
In the last 25-years, surgical endodontics has become a specialty with a long-term predictable result like never before.
Our endodontic microsurgery course uses innovative hands-on training and teaches the theory behind the biology of endodontic surgery.
Attendees will have the opportunity to use the training center’s latest specialist equipment which includes the use of surgical-operative microscopes, ultrasonic tips, and biocompatible material. Used on natural teeth mounted on a special anatomically designed model for a realist hands-on experience.
Dr. Arnaldo Castellucci will help you achieve and develop the skills to improve and increase the long-term prognosis for your patient’s care.

Course Contents
- Decision making and treatment planning process in order to understand where surgical approach is indicated
- Discuss the cause of failed endodontic treatment
- Understand hemonstatis
- Discuss flap design in order to avoid damaging soft tissues
- Access the surgical site, remove the granulation tissue and perform a correct apical resection
- Keep the bony crypt and the resected root under control to maintain good visibility
- Accomplish an adequate root-end preparation and place the retro-fill
- Choose the best retro-filling material atraumatically and precisely reposition the flap
- Place accurate sutures that can be removed 24/48 hours post-operatively
Course Leaders
Arnaldo Castellucci
Dr. Castellucci graduated in Medicine at the University of Florence in 1973 and he specialized in Dentistry at the same University in 1977. From 1978 to 1980 he attended the Continuing Education Courses on Endodontics at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry and in 1980 he spent four months in the Endodontic Department of Prof. Herbert Schilder. Since then, he has a limited practice on Endodontics. Past President of the Italian Endodontic Society S.I.E., Past President of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations I.F.E.A., Active Member of the European Society of Endodontology E.S.E., Active Member of the American Association of Endodontists A.A.E., he has been Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Siena Dental School and then at the University of Florence Dental School. Now is Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Cagliari Dental School and Assistant Professor of Micro-Surgical Endodontics at the Specialty of Oral Surgery of the University Federico II of Naples. He has been the Editor of “The Italian Journal of Endodontics ” and of “The Endodontic Informer”. He is the Editor in Chief of Endo Tribune, Founder and President of the “Warm Gutta-Percha Study Club” and of the Micro-Endodontics Training Center, where he teaches and gives hands- on courses. He published more than 60 articles on Endodontics in the most prestigious Endodontic Journals. International lecturer, he gave presentations and courses in 56 different countries around the world.

Dr. Massimo Giovarruscio is a highly skilled professional, with extensive experience in endodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
With over 19 years experience in dentistry, he has developed his reputation within the profession as an excellent clinician, endodontist and postgraduate lecturer.
Active member of the European Society of Endodontology and active member of the Italian Society of Endodontics.
Massimo is recognized by his colleagues for his exceptional talent, professionalism and for his innovative and proactive approach.

I did the ProArch course recently. I was sceptical about the whole concept, but after doing the course, I’m able to assess the suitability of this concept and treat my patients in a better way. Alfonso explained it so nicely, and not only the hands on was useful, but the live surgery including the process of fabrication of the prosthesis and immediate placement was fantastic. It has given me a lot of understanding and knowledge about the pro-arch concept and the use of Straumann BLX Implants system is just fantastic. I would highly recommend this course and courses run by Delta Academy.

It has been amazing, (not sure if it’s a course or a holiday as having so much fun doing this), Massimo and Federico were so down to Earth and provided us with very informative lectures and practical demos, full of tips, techniques and helped problem solve. The hands on was fantastic, we did procedures on plastic teeth and extracted teeth and did so much in the time we had. I have been on quite a few endo courses but this definitely is the best that I’ve experienced. The atmosphere was so relaxed and quite entertaining. Being a small group was an advantage as we each had individual attention. Thank you so much I’m actually finally enjoying endo. I think the biggest difference to this course and others is that we will by working on live patients, under close supervision. This will definitely boost my confidence.
